Local favourite among new restaurants set for Bristol Airport revamp
Four major dining brands — including Bristol favourite Cosy Club — are preparing to open at Bristol Airport next year as part of its £400 million transformation plan.
The first to arrive in early Summer 2027 will be Bill’s, which will be operated by Avolta. Bills is designed to be a welcoming space for everyone, from families and friends to business travellers and holidaymakers, and will offer plenty of seating alongside its popular all-day dining menu. The menu also features an extensive range of Coeliac UK-approved gluten-free options.
The second to open is Bristol-based Cosy Club, part of the Loungers Group, which in 2002 opened its first restaurant, Lounge on North Street in Bristol. Founded by three friends, Alex, Jake and Dave, the brand portfolio has grown to include Cosy Club, Brightside and the soon to open Southville in Germany.
Cosy Club now has 37 restaurants in the UK and is a firm favourite among those who live in the South West, with Cosy Clubs in Bristol, Cardiff, Taunton, Bath and Exeter.
Cosy Club’s Departures menu at Bristol Airport will deliver the same food travellers know from Cosy Club, with breakfasts available before early-morning take-offs and smaller plates for those who’d rather travel light.
The menu includes West Country suppliers like Baker Tom in Cornwall and Philip Warren Butchers. Vegan and gluten-free options are offered, and there’s a dedicated children’s menu, so all the family can enjoy a pre-flight meal.
Also opening next summer, is international restaurant wagamama, which will bring its signature blend of fresh, fast, flavoursome food. The extensive menu will feature all of its classic dishes including curries, ramen and bao buns, as well as a dedicated children’s menu and vegan options. The restaurant will also be offering wide-ranging breakfast options from eggs and waffles to French toast and granola for early morning travellers.
Lastly, next autumn Tap + Brew, operated by SSP UK & Ireland, will offer local craft beers and cider from Wiper and True, a craft brewer based in Bristol, alongside well-known beers, seasonal specials, as well as low/no alcohol and cocktails. With a distinctive design featuring copper tanks and locally inspired artwork on display, the industrial aesthetics will be combined alongside a range of seating from comfy leather seats to bar stools with a mixture of tables for solo travellers, couples and large groups as well as standing room.

This is just the beginning of a very exciting transformation for our customers, creating a new level of shopping and dining at the Airport. The departure lounge will feel much more inviting, spacious and brighter with more seats.”
More units are set to be unveiled next year, including coffee shops, fast food outlets, grab-and-go options, premium bars, and a first for Bristol Airport – a hidden speakeasy bar.
