Accountant’s ultramarathon for Wiltshire Treehouse
Sally Holland, Partner at PPS Chartered Accountants, is taking on an ultramarathon in support of Wiltshire Treehouse.
On Sunday 13th July, Sally will take part in Race to the Stones, a scenic but tough trail run along Britain’s oldest path, the Ridgeway, covering 50km from Wantage to Avebury.
It’s a challenge that combines Sally’s love for the outdoors with her commitment to giving back to the local community.
To date, her running journey has included everything from the London Marathon, which she ran in 2015, to 100km endurance events. A self-confessed fan of cross-country trails, she’s even managed to convince a few friends to join her in the mud along the way.
This year’s challenge, however, is about more than just personal goals.
Sally said, “I’m running the 50K to raise money for Wiltshire Treehouse. They do incredible work supporting children and young people who are grieving the loss of a parent, sibling, or loved one. It’s such an important cause, and I’m proud to be helping raise awareness and funds for them.”
PPS Chartered Accountants has previously supported Wiltshire Treehouse through its Business Charity Breakfasts, including raising over £400 at their event in March. Sally’s personal fundraising adds another layer to the company’s ongoing commitment to the community.
She added, “This run is going to be tough, but so worth it. I do it because I love the freedom of being outdoors, the challenge of pushing myself, and, in this case, knowing that it’s for a really important cause.”
