Wansbroughs celebrates strong rankings in Legal 500 directory
Wansbroughs is celebrating recognition across six practice areas in The Legal 500 UK 2027 directory, with more than 20 individual lawyers also mentioned for their contributions.
The firm says the results demonstrate the commitment, technical expertise and personal service that its employees bring to their work every day, as well as the trust clients place in the firm when seeking advice on important and often complex matters.
The firm’s 2027 practice area rankings are:
- Tier 2 – Agriculture and Estates
- Tier 2 – Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate
- Tier 3 – Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation)
- Tier 3 – Corporate and Commercial
- Tier 3 – Real Estate (Commercial Property)
- Tier 4 – Family
Wansbroughs is also celebrating individual recognition for three lawyers: Naomi Owen has been named a Leading Partner, whilst Emma Jewell and Tom Britten have been recognised as Next Generation Partners. These distinctions acknowledge not only their technical expertise and leadership, but also the confidence they inspire among clients and peers.
Founded in 1987, The Legal 500 is a global legal directory that assesses law firms through independent research, including submissions from firms and feedback from clients. Covering more than 100 jurisdictions, its rankings help clients compare legal expertise and service across practice areas and markets.
Anna Wensley Stock, Co-Managing Partner, said, “We are incredibly proud to be recognised once again in The Legal 500 UK rankings. This achievement belongs to colleagues across the firm, whose expertise, dedication and care make a real difference to our clients every day. It is particularly meaningful because client feedback plays such an important part in the research, and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to share their experience.”
The rankings also recognise the breadth and depth of expertise across the firm. The Agriculture and Estates team achieved Tier 2 status as a standalone practice for the first time, reflecting its established reputation for advising landowners and estates on increasingly complex matters. The Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate team retained its Tier 2 ranking, with clients highlighting its proactive approach, strong technical knowledge and attentive client service.
Wansbroughs’ Dispute Resolution team was recognised for its extensive commercial litigation experience and specialist capabilities, whilst the Corporate and Commercial team attracted praise for its first-class client care, clear communication and commercially focused advice. The Commercial Property team was commended for delivering high-quality, pragmatic legal support, with clients describing its advice as “city standard”. Meanwhile, the Family team’s ranking reflects its reputation for combining extensive experience with a client-focused approach, supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
