Padel People has officially opened its latest padel facility, serving the Bath and Wiltshire area.

Now open on Corsham’s Leafield Industrial Estate, this is the sixth site for the business in a network that stretches from the Midlands through London and into the South-West.

Katie Holdoway, Executive Director of HPH, which owns the Leafield site, said, “We’re excited to be accommodating this hugely popular sport, in a location well placed to serve both the Bath area and north Wiltshire. Padel People are now well on the way to establishing themselves as one of the UK’s leading padel networks.”

Padel People’s site includes four indoor doubles courts and two indoor singles courts, all with professional-grade surfaces and lighting, to ensure year-round play. Three outdoor courts are currently in planning.

The facility also includes men’s, women’s and accessible changing rooms, a dedicated workspace, and vending machines for both racket/ball hire and food and drink. Ample on-site parking is available.

George Sandbach, Co-Founder of Padel People, said, “We want our new Corsham facility to serve residents across Wiltshire who have previously had limited access to padel courts, including people in nearby Chippenham, Bath and Trowbridge.”

A dynamic racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, padel has taken Europe by storm and is already the second most popular sport in Spain. The UK is now experiencing the padel boom, fuelled by the sport’s social nature and accessibility to players of all ages and abilities.

Padel People’s move into Corsham comes against the backdrop of a surprisingly weak industrial property market in north and west Wiltshire over the past year.
