The 2025 TBE Awards are bringing together the very best individuals and organisations across the region.

As a proud sponsor of the Going for Growth category, regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon shares insights into why supporting this initiative matters, the value of local recognition, and what they’re most looking forward to on the night.

Can you give us an overview of your organisation and some of the work/projects you’re currently undertaking?

Milsted Langdon is an accountancy, tax and advisory firm offering expert advice and strategic support to businesses, individuals, and organisations across the South West and beyond. With offices in Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil, and London, we serve a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and startups to larger corporations, charities, and high-net-worth individuals.

Right now, we’re supporting many of our clients as they navigate economic uncertainty, particularly around cashflow forecasting, tax efficiency, and business restructuring. In addition, we’ve seen a growing demand for support in areas like digital transformation (especially with the changes to ‘Making Tax Digital’, ESG reporting, and succession planning – all of which are critical to building long-term, resilient businesses.

Why did you decide to sponsor a TBE Award category this year?

This will be the second year running that we’ve been part of the TBE Awards, and it reflects our commitment to the regional business community. The awards are a fantastic way to shine a spotlight on innovation, resilience, and success across a broad spectrum of industries.

We work with businesses at every stage of their journey, so we see firsthand the hard work and creativity that often goes into building – and maintaining a business. Being part of an initiative that celebrates and elevates those efforts is something we’re very proud of.

What was it about the category you’re sponsoring that appealed to you?

We’re sponsoring the ‘Going for Growth’ award, which resonates strongly with our values. It’s open to businesses demonstrating significant growth in scale and impact, and businesses that have increased market share, client base, revenue, and profitability.

It reflects the importance of adaptability, growth, and future-thinking – qualities we encourage in our clients and strive for within our own firm.

How important is regional recognition like the TBE Awards for businesses and organisations?

Regional recognition is more than just a trophy – it’s a validation of a business’s contribution to its local economy and community. In our region, where relationships and reputation are everything, awards like these can open doors, boost morale, and help raise the profile of worthy businesses.

Moreover, it encourages a culture of excellence. When one business is recognised, it raises the bar and inspires others. That ripple effect can be transformative across the region.

Are there other categories you’ll be keeping a close eye on?

We’re particularly interested in categories that celebrate innovation, sustainability, young entrepreneurs, and community impact. These areas are essential to the future of business and reflect the evolving priorities of customers, investors, and stakeholders.

It’s always inspiring to see how businesses of all sizes are innovating to address environmental and social challenges while still achieving commercial success.

What are you looking forward to about Awards night?

We’re really looking forward to catching up with our friends in the business community and meeting some exciting new businesses. There’s so much energy and optimism at events like this – it’s a chance to pause and appreciate how far we’ve all come.

Of course, we’re excited to meet the finalists in our sponsored category and hear their stories firsthand – they’re all examples of what makes our regional economy so dynamic and forward-looking.

TBE Awards, sponsored by Thrings, takes place on Thursday 6th November. Visit tbeawards.co.uk for more information.
