Jooka looks back on impressive first decade in business
Corsham-based video production company Jooka is celebrating 10 years in business – a decade that has seen the company grow from local projects in Wiltshire to establish a portfolio of clients across the UK.
Led by filmmaker Matt Paish, the company has worked across a wide range of sectors, producing films for national organisations as well as businesses and charities closer to home. Its projects have included regular filming at royal residences, including Buckingham Palace, work with Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and productions for companies across the UK.
Jooka has also maintained strong links with Wiltshire and Bath. Local projects have included work for MAN Truck & Bus in Swindon, Hitachi in Bradford on Avon, SouthGate Bath, the Roman Baths and Victoria Art Gallery.
Matt said, “When Jooka started, a lot of the work was naturally quite local. Over the years that has grown into working with organisations all over the UK, but we’ve always continued to do plenty of projects in Wiltshire and Bath too.
“That mix is one of the things I enjoy most about it. One week you might be filming inside a major manufacturing business, another with a charity or public organisation, and another on a project just down the road.”
The variety of work has taken Jooka into places and situations its crews might otherwise never experience, from filming inside Buckingham Palace to joining an air ambulance crew during a shoot.
Matt added, “Every project gives you the chance to understand a different organisation, meet new people and learn something you probably knew very little about beforehand.
“Reaching 10 years feels like a good point to look back, but also to thank the clients who have trusted us with their films and the freelancers and collaborators who have helped make the work happen.”
