Law firm Thrings Solicitors has announced 19 promotions across its offices, including a record 11 new partners and a number of senior appointments spanning legal and business services teams.

The latest promotions highlight the firm’s focus on developing talent from within, with around half of those recognised having begun their legal careers at Thrings before progressing through the ranks.

Continuing its targeted growth in private client law, Thrings has promoted seven lawyers across its Succession and Tax, Residential Property and Family teams.

In Romsey, Holly Algar has been appointed Partner, while former Hampshire Junior Lawyer of the Year Sam Longmore has been promoted to Senior Associate. Elsewhere in the Succession and Tax team, Gemma Goode becomes a Partner, while Moses Thompson in Lydney and Megan Alexander in Bath have both progressed to Senior Associate roles.

The firm’s nationally recognised Residential Property team has also strengthened its senior ranks, with Richard Reed promoted to Partner in Lydney, while Anna Patterson becomes the newest Partner in Thrings’ Family team in Swindon.

Thrings’ nationally recognised Agriculture team welcomes three new Partners. Litigators Richie Rees and Polly Ridgway have advanced from Legal Director roles, while Claire Davies joins the partnership from her position as Senior Associate. Jessica Moore, based in the litigation team in Ross-on-Wye, has also been promoted to Associate.

The firm’s Real Estate team has also seen strong progression, with Naomi Butler promoted to Partner, Lorna Medcraft advancing to Senior Associate and Annabel Rowland progressing to Associate. In the Planning and Environment team, Bristol-based Kiran Maher has been promoted to Senior Associate.

Two lawyers in Thrings’ Corporate and Commercial Dispute Resolution teams have also been promoted. Joe Watkins has been made Partner in the Corporate team, while commercial litigation specialist Dan Gibson has progressed to Senior Associate.

Simon Holdsworth, Thrings’ Managing Partner, said, “This latest round of promotions, including a record 11 new Partners, reflects the strength of our business, the high-quality service we provide to clients, and the success of our people. It’s particularly rewarding to see a significant proportion of those promoted having started their careers at Thrings.

“Congratulations to everyone promoted this year. These accomplishments are thoroughly deserved. Each one of these people has an important part to play in our future, and I’m excited to see their careers continue to grow at Thrings.”
